All day long we breathe without even noticing it. The lungs fill up, and release with the same natural flow that a river runs it’s course. This is what nourishes our bodies by bringing oxygen to our blood for circulation. This is what connects us to the natural world, bring carbon dioxide to the plants around us. To breathe, is to live.
Take some time to notice your breath. How does it change when you’re scared, or annoyed? How do you change your breathing when you’re trying to calm down?
The breath doesn’t just move in us, but it also moves us.
Take a few moments, or minutes if you have it, to feel your chest filling with air. Feel the air flow out of your lungs and back into the world around you. Let your breath connect you with your body and with nature.
